It answers a lot of questions about what the pack is and does, and give a good overview of it.How do I use the libraries? They are map files (VMF) like your own map or any other. Open one in Hammer at the same time as your map and switch back and forth as needed.Where are the libraries/maps?By default, if you don't change the path offered during installation they will be in steamappscommonTeam Fortress 2sourcesdkcontenttfmapsrc.I don't see the props. The props are hidden in!Go to View Menu Screen Elements Filter ControlThis will turn on the. Never again will you have to suffer searching through the model browser for something you need. It is now all laid out before you in an easily browsed environment categorized by the type of prop you are in need of.The library contains over 1900 props in 3 parts separated into 20 categories.Do not load more than one library at a time!

It was split into 3 parts because Hammer cannot load that many props at once and will crash. The scope of this library is limited to models used for detailing a map. You will not find player models, animated explosion debris, etc.

A handful of props are included in two categories, in such cases the categories are situated adjacently, so that all relevant props are in the area when enabled. No more confusion over setting up rounds. No more timer headaches. No more payload crashing.

Softimage XSI EXP for Half-Life 2Call me a nostalgic fool but as I was digging through some of my old Modding tools i came accross one I hadnt seen before, Sadly it was a little before my time. Nonetheless it got me excited. It is basically the origin of the Softimage Mod Tool. You see, Valve, Softimage and ATi were good buddies back in the day and strived to push the boundaries of not only the game engine but also the tools used to create content.Since then we have seen many tools released that greatly ease the ability of mod authors getting content in the Source Engine. To Name a few we have the, and of course the last good version of the.Why bother even bring this up you ask?Well I just think its really cool to have a copy of XSI that was pretty much solely dedicated to Half-Life 2.

This WYSIWYG editor allows the user to create, compile and implement new shaders easily into a source mod without any preliminary knowledge of HLSL.The shaders are based on nodes which are connected over bridges to finally compose a flowgraph for each, the vertex and pixel shader (similar to shader/material editors that you may know from other engines). Any shaders created this way can be referenced by a vmt file in a similar manner to shaders that have been created through code.Check out the official. If you need a copy you can download a version.
