DE HR is one of my all time favourites and The Missing Link is kinda cool actually, but if you aren't interested in playing that DLC then the only difference is in the colour tint of the game (you can look up comparisons on Youtube) and the boss fights themselves have been redone to some extent, most often you have a more 'pacifist' way of taking them out in DC.So other then that I don't think there is much difference, so you can just play the version you have I would say given that its already in your library.

The Director's Cut integrates the DLC into the main story, this was a bad idea. The Missing Link is very obviously meant to be this stand alone section that you play outside of playing the main story and when it's added to the main story, to me it just felt jarring and that it ruins the pacing.If the missing link happened earlier in the game it wouldn't be so bad but it happens when the pacing of the game has been built up, things are happening, the story is unfolding, the big picture is being revealed and then you're plopped into the dlc and all that build up just fizzles out completely.
